Windows & Doors

Two of the main reasons a homeowner begins the journey to replace their home’s windows and doors are: to reduce the home’s energy efficiency costs, and to replace outdated hardware and functionality present in existing windows; understanding these issues, at AM Group of Companies we've worked with a proprietary line to build one of the most energy efficient and durable windows on the market.

Here is a list of our services in more detail:

Replacement Windows and Doors

No two homes are the same, and that's why we've worked hard at AM Group of Companies to ensure that not only do our customers get the best replacement vinyl window on the market, but that they also get the best style of window to suit their home.

Here are a few examples of the new window and door materials and styles on the market today and ones we’ve used for our customers during the many upgrades our company has successfully performed.

Casement Windows

Casement windows are extremely energy efficient. They come with crank handles that when turned open the widow up sideways to approximately 90 degrees. They have a pushdown screen for easy removal and cleaning.

Awning Windows

Awning windows are similar to casement windows with the crank handles that open the window, though it’s the lower half of the window and it opens upward from the bottom instead of the side.

Single Hung and Double Hung Windows

The single hung window version is similar to the classic window style that we’re all used to — it slides opens up from the bottom upward and the top half is stationary. The double hung window also opens from the bottom but it can slide open from the top downward as well. In addition, the double hung window has a moveable screen that slides all the way to the top so that it will accommodate whichever window portion is open.

Single Tilt and Double Tilt Slider Windows

These tilt windows are the newer version of the basic slider window style that slides open horizontally. They are also similar in principle to single hung and double hung in that the single slider has one portion of the window that moves and tilts as the second half remains stationary. The double slider has the option to use both sides to open and close the window. Both of these slider styles now have the tilt option that gives more control to the amount of opening the window is capable of. This gives much more control over airflow as well as making window cleaning from the inside much easier.
